Charles Ingram

b. 1959, Spokane, Washington

     Charles Ingram’s educational background includes San Antonio College, Southeastern Illinois Junior College, and Our Lady of The Lake University, the University of Texas at San Antonio, and other private study programs.

     His artistic works include: Texas landscapes and Portraits in oil. The scale of his paintings ranges from small to ninety feet in width. Charles’ style has been described as something between, “Impressionism and Realism”.

His past works include;

  • Political cartoons for a newspaper syndicate in New York, New York
  • Editorial illustrations for the San Antonio Light and other Texas publications
  •  Textbook illustrations for primary, secondary and university  level students
  • Book illustration for publication
  • Courtroom sketches for high profile trials for media use in San Antonio as well as Houston, TX. 
  • Occupant Kinematic Injury Causation illustrations for litigation and publication
  • Museum and Theatrical Stage Backdrops

    In 2006 Charles began sculpting under the instruction of Rachman Ulmer at Inspire Fine Art Center. He learned to carve in limestone, marble and granite. Charles believes his vast experience in illustration and painting was preparation for this new era in his creative life. His figurative stone sculptures breathe life into stone.
