Sherye Foster

Sherye Foster has been teaching workshops and classes for children and adults since 1984. Presently she teaches at Inspire Fine Art Center, The Southwest School of Art, and The Arts Teach Program in San Antonio. She has also taught at The University of Texas at San Antonio, The Houston Art League, and The Art Institute of San Antonio.
She received her B.F.A. from Pan American University in Edinberg, Texas in metals, drawing, and art education and her M.F.A. from The University of Texas at San Antonio in studio art.
Her work has been exhibited through out Texas and Mexico in spaces such as: The Houston Art League, The Blue Star Art Space in San Antonio, The Museum of Fine Art in Houston, Local Color Gallery in College Station, The Instituto Potosino De Bellas Artes, San Luis Potosi, Beadazzled, "The Second Annual Polyform Show," Washington D.C., and The Foster Freeman Gallery, San Antonio, Texas.
In1998 she received a purchase prize in the arts exhibit: Hecho-A-Mano at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and in 2002 she received Best in Show. In 1992 she curated a "Group Exhibit" for the Instituto Potosino De Bellas Artes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

Sherye Foster was co-founder of the Foster-Freeman Gallery 1991 to 1995.
