Find your category! Are you a…

• New Kid on the Block, with sparks smoldering? 17 years of age and up
• Amateur Artist, blazing a trail? 21 and up
• Professional Artist,( has sold and/or sells work), been around the block and scorching hot? 21 and up.

Open to artists who live in San Antonio and adjacent counties
Both 2D and 3D works accepted

August 18 & 19: Art Drop Off! 10am-7pm
August 20: Selection Committee
August 23: Notification of Selected Work
August 27: Deadline for picking up Non-Selected Work.
August 27 thru September 14: Friend Raiser- People’s Choice Award Voting
September 16: “Inspire’s on Fire” Celebration.
September 20: Pick-Up Artwork.

Awards
Each 1st place winner receives: $500.00
Each 2nd place winner receives: $50.00 gift certificate.
People’s Choice Award Pot is split between Inspire and winner, up to $300.
Votes (dots) are one dollar each, friends/family can vote as often as they like!
Winning work will be on display in area businesses for the month of October!

Summer Camp 2010

Half Day camps 8:30-12:30
Cost: $125

Photoshop for kids (June 7-11)
Spend half the time working on original drawings and paintings and then learn how to use the photo shop software to change and embellish. (Cros)

“Night at the Museum 2” (June 14-18)
Learn about the artists and artwork from the movie Night at the Museum 2. Create paintings and artwork in the style of famous artists! Even sneak a peek at the movie. (Linda Bowling & Morgan Moore)

“Alice in Wonderland” (June 21-25)
Draw pictures using pencils, pastels, & charcoal in the style of “peering through a looking glass.” Create your own ceramic tea set and have a tea party! (Terry Lopez de Castilla & Kathy Maple)

Hip Hop Camp! (June 28 – July 2)
Experience the fun creating your own hip-hop music and design a CD cover. Cros is an experienced Hip-Hop artist who will take you through the process of creating lyrics and rhythms. (Cros)

Folk Art (July 5-9)
Chicano, Russian, French… Create artwork based on various cultures folk art. Experience different medias: drawing, painting, collage, sculpture… (Patti Reed & Ricardo Lara)

Rhythms (July 12-16)
Experience rhythms in drawing, drumming and explore other rhythmic creations. Learn drawing techniques with pencil, pastels and charcoal. (T-Bow & Ricardo)

Masks from around the world (July 19-23)
Learn about different cultures through exploring and creating various masks. Experience paper mache, ceramics, collage and more! (Ricardo Lara & Patti Reed)

Bugs! (July 26-30)
Create and mold bugs out of clay, create a habitat for them to live in, draw and paint your own original bug. (Morgan Moore & Kathy Maple)

All about me! (August 2-6) – Focus on drawing your own portraits & express yourself while you create your own mandala ( Morgan Moore & Terry Lopez de Castilla)
